Hiller Highlands

This unique modern home with wonderful natural light and amazing bay views, was designed and built after the Oakland Hills fire. The new owners were looking to add a bedroom suite to the home to provide a comfortable space for their visiting parents. Keen to maintain the design characteristics of the home, the architect designed a seamless vertical addition to sit atop the existing garage. Connecting to the kitchen, garage and interior courtyard of the main home, the bedroom suite was separated enough for privacy and independent access but also designed with amenities to allow for self sufficiency, including a full bath and kitchenette. Natural light is abundant with large view windows on all sides capturing expansive views of the bay. Custom cabinetry and guardrail were designed for the space, one of the bathrooms in the main home was also fully renovated.
